Arabica Coffee Table

Arabica Coffee Table

"I love my Plydea Arabica coffee table for its hip design and sustainability."

- J. Briselden, Seattle

The Arabica Coffee Table was born not in Yemen, like its bean namesake, but in the Plydea Lab when we identified our need for a place to put our books, magazines, coffee cups and yes, the occasional tumbler of Islay single malt.

The Arabica fulfills this function admirably and is (not coincidentally) the right height to rest your weary feet after a rough day.

Composed of seven parts that pop together in a few minutes, the Arabica Coffee Table is the perfect solution!

Like all Plydeas, the ArabicaTable is made from zero VOC prefinished, FSC solid birch plywood. It ships flat, saving you money on shipping, saving fuel in the process and helping to reduce our impact on the environment.

The product comes in a flat, lightweight package. At first blush, one would question the sturdiness of the table, but due to the unique engineering
design it stands up to more weight than one might think. The fact that it is made out of sustainable materials is a bonus. The dimensions of the
table are perfect for family boardgames and cards. It also provides enough room for books, coffee cups and feet for relaxing moments reading or
chatting with family over coffee.rnAssembly was fairly simple and the table can be enjoyed in minutes after you unpack it from the box.

I love my Plydea Arabica coffee table for its hip design and sustainability. Its rare you get both in one item. It comes in a light, flat packed box
with almost all recyclable packaging. It actually smells like pine wood when you unpackage it rather than plastic. It was easy to put together with
two hands -- no tools required. Its deceptively sturdy...my 80 lb son sits on it while using it as a game table. Its stylish and clever and made in
the good'ol USA. Thumbs up Plydea.

It arrived in a lightweight flat cardboard box. We really appreciate from an environmental standpoint that there was minimal packaging involved. There
were only a few pieces so assembly was quite simple. We were new to the idea of using tension instead of screws so it took us about 15-20 min to put
together. It reminded us of functional Legos for adults! We love the sleek futuristic, yet simple design. Huge props for its innovative design and use
of eco-friendly materials.

The Arabica’s smooth, sinuous arches make it appear to hover lightly in the air. Don’t let that fool you, though – this is one stable table.
The expertly interlocked and tensioned supports give the table an elegance matched only by its firmness. Its broad surface, floating about a foot and
a half off the ground, is spacious enough for spreading out the newspaper and your morning coffee, holding endlessly multiplying school books and your
afternoon coffee, propping up your weary feet and your evening coffee, and there’s even enough room for a casually intimate dinner for two or
enjoying a nice hot cup of coffee before bed.

When they said this thing ships flat, they weren't kidding. The parcel that I received was only 2.5" thick, including the packaging. The table
was light enough that I carried it into my house with one hand. I was initially concerned that, with such lean materials, the table would be flimsy.
So I tried a little experiment (this is probably not recommended by Plydea). I climbed on top of my assembled table so that it supported my entire
body weight (close to 170 pounds). It showed no sign of strain other than minor deflection in the wood. Certainly it is more than strong enough for my
intended use (coffee cup, books, feet, etc.).
